The dream cheeseburger is the main reason to come here! Love this place # 1 cheeseburger on long Island!
Don't know what happened this time potato skins off my prime rib was some kind of meat didn't taste like prime rib my husbands burger was well done not medium. Not to mention his seafood bisque was not as tasty or bland as he said.we went to celebrate my new job hope the job is better-very disappointed

The Good Steer is the best. When I lived there went once a week. Now when I visit it's the first place I go. Love it
This place has the best burgers by far!:) When I go there, I always get a big, juicy cheeseburger with white cheese and their famous fried onions on top; that is my special once a year treat!:) Clean restaurant with friendly staff and a nice open waiting area with plenty of seating. Prices are not bad. I love the paper and crayons on the tables, too (and I'm and adult!) because doodling is a great way to pass the time while you wait for that mouthwatering steak or big, juicy cheeseburger.:) Definitely recommend this restaura... read more
We love the Good Steer. we've been coming to this place for 40 years. When you want a burger it's the place to come. The people who own it are Family.
I lived 5 minutes up the road 20 years ago and was here regularly. Just stopped in for the first time in years. Classic cheese dream is as great as I remembered, not to mention their onion rings. The place looks great as well as the service staff. By far, the Good Steer was and still is one of the best family owned restaurants on the Island.
