I cant say enough positive things about this company. The owner, the boat, the accommodations, all perfect!! I dont want to over hype it, just go try it out for yourself. You wont be let down. We had 4 adults and the captain. Plenty of room to move about comfortably. His boat is immaculate. If you want to sail, learn to sail, or just need to relax on the pacific, this is your guy.

Phenomenal experience! It's always tricky to book something you've never done and just kinda wing it. So glad we did!! The boat was beautiful, the wine was great, and the captain was the best!! This is no doubt a 5 star experience and can easily be used for a romantic trip, or a small party (what we did). We are already planning our next trip
My son asked to go on a sailboat for his 12th birthday. I found Gone Sailing and booked a charter for his birthday party. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Captain Don and he had a Happy Birthday sign hanging in the galley. I didn't even expect that. We had such a wonderful time. The kids loved it and Captian Don and his wife were very gracious and helpful during our excursion. This was a great alternative for a kids party. We wanted an affordable, private sail and the whole experience was way beyond our expectations. What a perfect way to celebrate a birthday and the end of a week of training. Next time we're in San Diego, we must do it again!
You really need to go Sailing with Captain Don if just to get away for a few hours or a weekend to Beautiful Romantic Catalina Island or a Cruise down the Coast, this is the Greatest Experience for a Couple or Group , It's off the Chart !!! .... :-) Angus McKay
