I’ve lived here for 3 months and unfortunately my experience has gone downhill fast. For the rent we’re paying — over $3,000 a month — the building should feel safe, clean, and well-managed. Instead, the rooftop and pool have turned into a public party spot for people who don’t even live here. Almost every weekend there are large groups of non-residents drinking, destroying things, and even making the pool and hot tub unusable. Avoid renting at Goldtex if you value transparency and fair utility billing. I lived there for four years, and while the utilities were always high, things took a turn for the worse in my final months. Management began adding a $60 flat utility fee on top of already excessive charges. For reference, I lived in a studio and was regularly billed around $168 for water, $198 for electric, plus the $60 fee—an outrageous total for a small unit.
