Im giving two stars minimum because I did like the younger optometrist but the ladies who answer the phone are rude, sometimes they dont even pick up and the phone rings and rings. They hang up on you and give you attitude, just save your time and go elsewhere. The wait times are also ridiculous, I always get an appointment first thing in the morning then proceed to wait around for at least two hours.
Love Dr. Tawansy and his staff. He saved my eye after a previous misdiagnosis at an Urgent Care & I am forever grateful, HOWEVER. both times I have been here the wait time ( even with an appointment time) was over 2 hours. There is no excuse for that kind of wait time- even if you put it on your "reminder" that wait times are extensive. Perhaps an Office Manager or a Time Management Consultant is needed to fix this truly ridiculous problem. Just fix it.
Tawansy is disgusting. He was on his phone from majority of the visit. He was answering calls and sending text messages as me and my six month old is sitting in the chair waiting for him. He didn’t wash his hands. He used hand sanitizer, but then he touched his phone again, and I had to ask him to use more hand sanitizer. He is rude and obnoxious. The office is also disgusting. The weight wasn’t even the problem. It’s the hospitality or lack there of the worst doctors office and doctor I have ever experienced.

Dr. Tawansy is great his other eye Doctors that take over his seat when he's gone are ok but their bedside manner needs help they want to rush you in and out quickly is not right. The Doctor today couldn't even understand my English.My husband and I had major eye surgery in Pasadena, CA. My husband Dennis had Cataract surgery in January 2022 I had Cataract surgeryon September 31, 2025. Can't wait until I see 100% again. Tawansy needs to teach these Doctors to be more kind and patient with his clients.
