********************* with GSF DO NOT USE. I was in contact with this lady from May up until about 2 weeks before closing. Received a phone call about needing a document from the **** Everyone knows that requesting documentation from the *** is a process. This firm requested check stubs, bank statements, etcwith no hesitation on my part to provide. We paid for an Inspection, Appraisal and we had to pay for a second Appraisal due to Hurricane ***. Nathan Nguyen in Louisiana is the worst!!! DO NOT USE!!! Terrible communication and 1 day before closing on a house, asked for more down payment. For 2 months he told the buyers everything was good on the loan and even waived an appraisal on the house, then 1 day pulls this ridiculous request. Lost the house and the loan. Terrible business and very unprofessional. DO NOT USE

Over the last week I have rec'd. 7 calls - none of them have a number that shows on my caller ID but it says SPAM RISK and shows the town where I work. This is a very small town and I'm certain Gold Star does not have an office here. If I don't answer, I get a call back within an hour or two. If I do answer, it's a recording but made to acutally sound like the person is on the line with you. I have repeatly requested not to be called but the calls keep coming. I have received 4 calls from Goldstar Mortgage. They immediately start with asking for homeowner by name. They said we were on a recorded line. I said we were not interested. Then they started asking questions about the property like a machine gun; do we own it, size, manufactured, etc.. I told them again we were not interested, and they continued to ask questions. I attempted to use them for a loan to purchase after selling.Ive sold a home before.Im concerned when I was told that I neeed to give 7k out of pocket and 3k for the down payment for a home.The latter is understandable.However, I was told that this is the new law since 2009 and unless you are a veteran you dont qualify.Ive never paid for anything other than inspection and appraisals. Spoke to others.No one has had to pay monies up front for selling or purchasing a home.

Due to GoIdstar’s lack of good customer service, unwillingness to communicate, dishonest procedure, rude and dishonest staff, unwillingness to provide a mortgage, all around lack of consideration or respect to customers, and lack of management to follow up and return phone calls, we are demanding that any and all inquiries made by Goldstar, Universal, or any other subsidiaries/partners used by Goldstar be removed and updated immediately on all three of the credit bureaus; including but not limited to “HARD INQUIRIES”.
