Great gym and very friendly staff. Being a powerlifter the gym had everything I needed to get a good workout. I didn't give it a higher rating because, the gym sacrificed space by having multiple pieces of equipment. Also, I truly enjoy a sauna after a hard workout, the gym didn't have one. However, those two items will not deter me from coming back, I'll be there my remaining time in Augusta.
When I joined in 2006, it was called Omni Fitness and it was in good condition. We have gotten some new equipment in the last few years but the whole place needs to be updated. The Gold Gym in Evans is in Excellent shape. I feel like I am in the ghetto when I go to the Walton Way Gold Gym. Please update our facility.
My time at Golds Gym is usually my stress reliever. No spa but they have all of the amenities I love and I'm a creature of good habits. I know what I like to work out on and can shower and keep it moving!
I love the atmosphere of the gym and the employees are very welcoming.
