This might just be the best Memorial Day weekend group of dogs we've ever had! Everyone gets along and likes everyone!
I was getting worried that the only dogs using our new play yard equipment were the employee dogs until I managed to get these photos of two different dog families sharing the same platform.
Just had to post this photo of the laziest day care dog in central Texas. Abbey (and Buffy, a resident) did not move from her spot all day long. Actually in late afternoon she moved 20 feet closer to the building but I think while still in a prone position. Abbey is the one behind Buffy. Her owner claims she goes home and runs 5 miles beside the jeep. Maybe she gets so worn out at home that she has to sleep the day away when she comes for Day Care.
We are through with our own version of "March Madness," a/k/a spring break. Now it's time to engage in some dog sports. March 29 & 30, the Afghan Hound Club of Austin is hosting a Fast Cat Event in Florence--20 minutes away. Fast Cats are a lot of fun--a timed 100-yard dash after a lure. Luckily Scott isn't on FB because he would be really mad if he knew I was posting photos that show Tex outrunning our whippet to the tennis ball. He did enjoy a major head start each time . . .
Just like the olden days--the post holiday group is the perfect size--everyone can run with everyone and can all be off leash.
