In the last six months I've needed to use Gold Cross (5) different times to be taken to the hospital. Each time I found their service to be excellent. I live on second floor, no elevator. They handled the situation very well.
The employees care about you! They are of great service.
Called 911 for an incident for a stranger overheating on Tech Ridge today. Was not impressed with the response time and lack of urgency to get to the patient. Had called them for my mother in law in January and had a similar response. Not the level of quality I would expect for a community of this size. Not sure why the city is outsourcing to this firm. Hope I don't have an incident because they sure don't know how to hustle.
I called emergency at 4 am for my daughter who could not walk or get off the floor. She was in so much pain and I couldn’t get her to my car to go to the er. When they arrived they did an assessment and was going to put her back into her bed. The woman staff was sarcastic, and not helpful she actually made things worse. The male staff at least was asking questions to find out more. They did take her to the er after having to demand it. My daughter spent 5 days in the hospital. She needs 2 surgeries. Horrible company. For a 10 mile transport with NO care being performed other than monitoring, they stuck us with a 3k bill. Charged for having an advanced paramedic, even though the guy in the back with pt was a trainee..yes an EMT but NOT a paramedic. I sent them a letter of dispute and was contacted basically saying we can file for hardship or pay.
