RecommendedWhile on vacation with my family over the weekend, I ended up at the hospital for an emergency appendectomy. Dr. Kitchens did an amazing job with the surgery (only one incision 🙌🏼) and all the other nurses and staff were very kind. I was worried about getting stuck in St. Simons during the hurricane and everyone worked quickly to make sure I could be discharged as soon as possible so I could get my family home. RecommendedMy experience there is a very mixed review. I am from Gainesville, Northeast Georgia. I have been very sick with abdominal pain for two weeks and when I finally said to my husband I feel like I want to die I’m hurting so severely he took me to the ER here at NE. Georgia Medical Center where they did not listen all I heard was that I said I felt like I wanted to die they never checked for the pain although I complained of it severely. RecommendedI recently gave birth at the hospital and it was a phenomenal experience. The room was so nice and large and I never had to move rooms. The bathroom was so convenient with my own shower. There was a nice place for my husband to sleep and they gave us blankets and sheets for him to use. The nurses were absolutely amazing. Cara and Meagan were so supportive and encouraged me the whole time since I gave birth naturally. I was asked nonstop if there was anything they could get me and was told “my pleasure” when I said thank you.... read more
