In this new era of, oftentimes hurried and void of the personal touch and bedside manor of medical professionals from days gone by, my experiences at OrthoCarolina have been the diametric opposite. Dr R. Glenn Gaston has thoughtfully and precisely attended to an excruciatingly painful right thumb that's become nearly unusable yet, now is. His direct and sensible advice for maintaining the continued health of my hand makes perfect sense.
Dr. Gaston is personable, professional and easy to talk to He is conservative about recommending surgery, willing to try less invasive procedures first. He took care of a ganglion cyst for me, first by simply removing fluid 4 times over several years, then a successful surgery. I was the one reluctant to undergo surgery at first, but it worked out very well. Now we are working on an arthritic thumb joint. My hand is very important to me, and I trust Dr. Gaston to take care of it!!
He is an excellent Dr. I enjoyed my visit and Dr Ransome was also very nice. They were very professional and caring.
Very informative and took necessary time to explain condition but was also very efficient!
Dr. Gaston performed surgery to correct a severe wrist fracture I had sustained from a fall. He explained everything to me beforehand and answered any questions I had. Dr. Gaston did a great job on my wrist and took great care to be sure my wrist was healing as it should be. He is very caring . He never made me feel rushed and answered any concerns I had. I recommend Dr. Gaston.
Dr. Gaston and his PA, Evan, were exceptional in the treatment of my son's broken wrist. They were thorough and thoughtful in their evaluation and treatment. Without hesitation, I would recommend Dr. Gaston and Evan for any sort of arm, wrist or hand injury as experts in the field.

Dr Gaston & PA Evan were very knowledgeable & professional. They answered all questions & went over pre & post-operation X-rays. Staff was friendly. Shout out to Mac, who was not only extremely professional, his pleasant personality & helpful information left me with an even better impression
Dr Gaston is the best hand surgeon I have ever met. I have arthritis in both hands. Dr Gaston did.surgery on one hand several years ago and I will go back to him when I am ready to have the other one repaired. I have consulted with at least 3 other hand specialist over the years. Dr Gaston Is personable and very knowledgeable. He makes sure you know what is wrong and what your options are. His staff is super, from the front desk to the checkout. They are all wonderful.
