Mediocre and a poor lunch spot – First off, let me say aside from my opinion of the food or the value, Giwa is not a good idea for a lunch break unless you can step out of work for well over an hour. I had to wait over 20 minutes for my food. On top of that it was served at a temperature similar to molten lava, and no matter how much stirring or time to sit, there was no way I was eating and making it back to the office without repeatedly burning my tongue. Fresh, Delicious & Healthy – I get food here often and it never disappoints. The signature Bibimbop is a bowl of fresh vegetables that you can have with either chicken, beef, pork or tofu in a spicy red sauce. It is fresh and delicious and comes with rice and side dishes of the day which have included kim-chee, cucumber, carrot and sweet soy beans. Pay the extra $1 for the whole-grain rice. It is nutty and good for your health. Both the kim-chee pancake and the seafood pancake are succulent and are served with a soy dipping ... read more
Not bad! – My friend took me here and I was so thankful because I didn't know that there was another Korean restaurant in center city. We ordered ddukbokki and dol-sot bibimbap. Both dishes are were pretty good. The place is a bit small and they don't have much on the menu. However, the food was decent and I plan to get my Korean food there as long as I work in the city.
Great casual dining spot – Best summed up by my Korean friend who says its great but not really authentic. While takeout business is brisk the smallish eat-in area is clean, casual, and surrounds the open and immaculately clean kitchen. The food, and we've had everything on the menu, is by and large great and enjoyed by Koreans, Chinese, Americans, and the occasional Italian.
