About this business

The drive of the culinary entourage at Girl & The Goat gets its inspiration from the persistent animal that is now their not-so-concealed mascot. Specializing in locally-sourced and organic produce, this restaurant follows the farm-to-table philosophy to the tee. Vegetables, seafood and meat are cooked up in fun, imaginative ways, minus the compromise on variety. Going by the name, the goat dishes are sure to tantalize your taste buds. The food was exquisite. I’ve never had scallops taste so well. Go, because you won’t be disappointed.

I had a wonderful solo early dinner at the bar last night! The bartender suggested 1/2 portions of a couple of my choices, which turned out to the perfect. Incredible! Stephanie and team-you are fantastic! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Amazing service. Amazing food. Small plate/family style. The waiter gave us reccomendations right off the bat. I highly recommend the sea bass off their menu. Amazeballs. Also the waiters really keep you hydrated with how diligently they refill your water glass. ❤️

The food and wine, the staff, the atmosphere, all excellent! Cassie really knows her wine, Einstein is such an intelligent and hospitable manager, now I know why they were packed on a rainy Sunday evening! Make reservations!

caulilower was great, loved the green beans and scallops. Next time, I would skip the bread and definitely skip the duck tongues. They were not bad, just nothing special. Over rated, over hyped, and over priced. Some of the tables leave a lot to be desired. We didn't appreciate being seated behind the host stand with drinkers from the bar hanging over our table. Service is just not that good, especially given all the hype. We won't go back. Just not that special.

I have been wanting to eat here since it opened but finally got my chance last night. Literally the best meal I’ve ever had from start to finish. Every dish, every course, so well thought out, perfect combinations, amazing flavors. Service from Julia was amazing. Just a great experience. Thanks Chef Izard. The reason you always win is obvious. Your talent is phenomenal.

An amazing, unique culinary experience in the hip-and-happening West Loop. Best dishes were: the Roasted Pig Face, Goat Carpaccio, Duck Tartare with Duck Fat Lavash, and Hamachi Crudo with Lardons .
