I was recommended to this restaurant for our anniversary. Looking for something good, but not over priced. I am chef, so we love to try new places and we very happy with our experience here. We were seated early, food was fast and hot. Loved the flavors of the food and the service was great. Very happy with our experience.
Best cauliflower I've ever had hands down. Hamachi Crudo was fantastic. Tried the duck tongue and it was good but probably wouldn’t get it again. Staff was top notch!! Went above and beyond to make us happy.

I was there tonight for McGuire Woods event and Stephanie Izard did not disappoint. Her food is as tasty as it sounds and she is even nicer in person. I can't wait to go back!!
Ate at girl & the goat for Valentine’s Day dinner and everything was AMAZING. So many vegan options and the blood orange sorbet for dessert was incredible. Will be coming back for sure!
Wood fired skirt steak, wood fired oysters, sauteed green beans, mr potato bread! So good so good so good! I'm usually more articulate than this, but I'm having food flashbacks, and the food was amazing! The waiter was friendly and helpful, and had some good recommendations. Roasted cauliflower was out of this world! Wood fired oysters-OMG! Sticky yummy cake was the perfect way to end the meal. Mezcal cocktail was amazing. Service was flawless, great staff. can't wait to go back!!!
Everytime I visit Chicago a reservation at G&TG is a must. I’m never disappointed only pleased and wished I could have ordered more food, but i did I’d have to be rolled out he door. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable and so helpful. Family style ordering is my favorite so i can at least have a bite of everything the table ordered. Trust me you’ll be so happy that you made a reservation!
This has been the best experience I’ve ever had eating out. The service was amazing and the food IMPECCABLE. I wish I could eat here all the time �
