Excellent Homeade Italian! – If you are looking for fancy fine dining, this place is not the place for you. However, if you appreciate wholesome homeade food, giovanni's is perfect. I've been there a few times and each experience has been a pleasant one. The soups, dressings and sauce are all made at Giovanni's, and you can tell. Are you kidding me? – I ordered a meatball sub for lunch and was amazed at what I got. An open-faced sub on supermarket bread with a thick, greasy, rubbery layer of melted cheese. What did I find underneath? Meatballs? Frankly, I have no idea what it was. Spongy gray discs of some kind of meat product. No meatballs. I took several out and ate them on their own, and they tasted like... nothing. Big Disappointment – After reading the reviews I took a group to try Giovannis out. We were sorely disappointed. Service was slow. Food was marginal. We were looking for a new experience and what we learned was stick with what we know. Don't waste your money or time here.
Great Pizza For a great pizza in Beaverton, visit Giovanni's. The crust is a little thicker than others, but that just adds to the unique and outstanding flavor. And don't limit yourself to the pizza as they have other Italian food that is just as good. Great service and wonderful restaurant.
yummy pizza This is one of my favorite pizza places! Start with the pizza, but come back for their other italian dishes. The restaurant is small, and you can either dine in or take it to go. Not fancy by any means, just good food!
Giovanni's Restaurant Giovanni's makes the best pizza in Beaverton hands down, in fact, they just might be the best in the Portland Metropolitan area. I love their thick crust, and their toppings are always very good. If I lived in Beaverton, I would go their for pizza every week.
Not bad, but nothing special – I ordered a three-meat pizza from Giovanni's for take-out after reading the rave reviews, but was somewhat let down. The pizza was certainly large, and the crust was thick, making for a filling meal, but the flavor was lacking. The beef and sausage were almost indistinguishable from one another, the sauce was non-existent, and the cheese was flavorless. The best thick crust pizza around I think this place has other things besides pizza, but we've never tried it. Our family has been going here just for pizza for 13 years. The crust is very thick, making it a full meal in itself. We've tried many varieties, and they're all good. What else can I say?
