I had an accident at the gym and fractured a bone in my hand. I am 71 years old and was worried about having surgery and a cast. At my first appointment, after examining my X-rays, Dr Gilbert explained that I would not need a cast and probably not surgery. I was completely relieved. I had hand surgery in November of 2019, expected to be in therapy for 4months. The doctor and his great staff had me up and going very quickly and I was all done in two months. I am going to need surgery on my left hand in a few years and would not go anywhere else.

Dr Gilbert was very patient and thorough in my first consultation with him. He explained all my options and told me to go home, take time and think about them before making a hasty decision. He spent a lot of time explaining the possible procedures and rehab. He came highly recommended and I will go back to him.

Three meetings w. Dr. Gilbert: First about 4 yrs ago; excellent diagnosis of arthritis and wear-related dislocation of thumb joint. Second May of '18 for opinion of a mucosal cyst on my left index finger, first joint. He gave me lots of time, took x-rays, explained options. Third, just three weeks ago b/c said cyst had grown larger. Again he again gave me lots of time, went over options patiently again, especially surgery, which I have decided to do with Dr. Gilbert. Staff is also A+++

Dr. Gilbert is a great doctor. He is not only exceptionally good at taking care of his patients, he is super kind and compassionate. We just wish he treated the whole body not just hands so we could go to him for everything. His staff is also extremely efficient, courteous and put the patients first. Thank you Dr. Gilbert and staff for taking great care of my husband and me.
