These guys are great! They will go out of their way to foster a love of fly fishing in everyone- men, women, kids (even dogs.) I appreciate how laid back the staff is and how eager they are to get a sense of your skill level before steering your toward gear and classes. It's so nice to go in as a beginner and know you aren't going to be dismissed or intimidated in to buying the most expensive gear regardless of your knowledge base. Fun day taking a beginner's intro class. I am not a natural at fly fishing, but I did successfully avoid stepping in the geese poop.
My top shop! They have a nice selection of flies, tying materials and everything else you need. The guys are pros out in the salt and will hook you up with the right gear and as guides they work hard for you. Their Hobie and Native watercraft kayaks are epic, too. I bought two Native Slayer 14.5 kayaks from them not long ago and they have been perfect for everything I've tried so far, both in the salt and on lakes.
I just wanted to thank James and Alex for the best customer service! I came in today to buy a reel and had a few questions. After checking out several reels I went with the Nautilus FWX 5/6. What a sweet reel! I took it kayak fishing as soon as I left the shop. This reel is silky smooth and sexy! Thank you!!
