Our room reeked. It Smelled like college dorm room, wet dog, and dirty carpeting. The room was not in the least inviting or charming. Nothing about it was special. I regret spending the money and paying an additional $50 for a 2:00 check in. The room was so musty and malodorous. I cannot believe the stark contrast between what is presented on their website vs reality. Our room looked like a dump. Its convenient location to SPAC makes it hard to write off completely, which is why I guess they make no efforts to improve these ... read more
Historic and lovely.
Great location for attending events at SPAC, but how difficult is it to put grab bars in the shower. Didn’t feel safe.
Room was small, adequate
We had a great stay at the Gideon Putnam this past weekend for opening weekend at the track. We were treated to an early check in after calling ahead, and we were so excited to learn about the free shuttle service to take us to the track and downtown Saratoga. We never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a ride which was just incredible. You get free admission to the beautiful victoria pool, about a 5 minute walk away.
