Established in 1995 as the Southeastern Cancer Center, the name was changed in 2002 to honor Alice and Monroe Carr Gibson, two Robeson County citizens dedicated to the cancer patients of this region. Prior to its inception, cancer services in Robeson County were provided by late Dr. David Richardson and the caring staff of Lumberton Medical Clinic in conjunction with Duke Medicine. This is the second time my mom has battled cancer. The first time her treatments were in pine Hurst. This time is at Gibson. I must say we have received excellent care at Gibson way better than pine Hurst
Everyone at Gibson are very kind and are like family.
I really love them they were so very good to our mom Qussie Strickland ...Words can't even express how truly blessed she was to have them in her last days...We will never for get the day that she rang the bell.Truly a place that the community should rally around.Thank you Gibson Cancer for everything you did for our mom and the community.
