Was a last minute getaway without a place to stay we stopped in at the Fireside Cocktails we asked if there was a nearby hotel and they recommended Giant Oak Lodge. Very reasonably priced very outgoing and friendly service. Beautifully kept property, was very impressed with the cabin 104 that we stayed in. The indoor and pool and spa were very well kept and open at all hours. My spouse and I found our room (105) clean and with plenty of storage room for a three day stay. We also appreciated the decision NOT to have a table but rather to have a BAR. That worked out very well for us. I, personally, was intrigued by the fact that the refrigerator had no controls but somehow "chose" a perfect temperature for our food. The pleasant personality of the owner was apparent from the very first call and continued our entire stay. the entire complex was clean, beautiful, quiet and restful The small town was a pleasure to explore. And the food was delicious. The nights were quiet, and the stars are breath taking.
We went here to celebrate our anniversary and it was just wonderful. It was do cozy with fireplace and large jacuzzi tub. Setting is gorgeous and staff all make you feel at home. We'll be back with the kid next time.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the giant oaks lodge. It's a great location and with it's cute town right next to it, this nice and cozy, adorable lodge is just perfect. We'll be coming back again for sure!(:
Reasonable prices, cute rooms, very friendly lady running the shop. The guy that runs it with her could use some customer service work.
I stayed recently at the Giant Oaks Lodge, and while apprehensive at first in what appeared to be a limited option market, my doubts were quickly dispelled. On arrival to the hotel, when I informed the lady at the desk I was suffering a knee injury, she immediately changed my room to a more accessible one so I would not have to brave many stairs. Wow, we got a beautiful cabin that felt like you were in a Fairy tale from the inside complete with a beautiful stone jacuzzi that spills over into a wonderful fireplace. Minutes from Lake arrowhead and big bear, this small town has all the snow and charm you could ever ask for and it's less than 90 minutes from LA. The hotel is so charming they provide hand drawn maps of the area showing you all the places to eat and shop, get cocktails and bar food, and where to go sledding or skiing.
