I have loved being a client at Gerald's for years. The customer service is wonderful, the staff friendly and talented. Gerald's salon is commited to advanced training and it shows every time I am there. I always get tons of compliments on my cut and color. I love having facials and mani and pedis, too!

steer clear of this establishment. Multiple stylists are not licensed, and are working on the public illegally.

Girls that Left Gerald's – I just about lost it when my stylists left Gerald's. I would go to Lindsay for a cut and Julie for color. Since Lindsay was often so popular and busy; I also went to Jodi for hair cuts. There were so many awesome girls to choose from. Imagine my surprise when I went there one time and they were all gone...it took some time but I found out where they all went and just had to share with any others looking for them. 2 Chances - Not impressed – Geralds salon is very close to my house and I read some good reviews so I went there for a haircut. The girl I had did a pretty good job on the cut but she had absolutely ZERO personality. I did go back to her a second time and the cut was just ok. I felt very uncomfortable in there as it seemed to be lots of attractive young stylists who stood around staring at themselves in the mirror. Geralds's Not as Chic as The Wrapping on their Doors... – I went to Gerald's Salon about 10 years ago on a consultation with a male hairstylist - older guy, I do not remember his name. He had done my sisters hair just before this and cut her really short up the back - I have very long hair. I did about a 30 minute consulatation in which he told me that he would like to layer and face frame my hair. Been going to Gerald's for years... – When I first started going to Gerald's my hair was in awful condition after a bad hair dresser I had been seeing. I was referred to Gerald's by a friend back in around 2003. I currently see Jamie for color and Jodi for a cut. I have seen others as well. I am so impressed I would suggest this to anyone! All my needs met in one place – I have been going to Gerald's Salons since I was a kid and have always had great experiences, as have the friends I have sent there. I love that I can get all my beauty needs met in one place- hair, nails, facials, etc. without feeling I am not getting the best from each genre. I feel quite confident on every level here and get constant compliments on my hair, whether I am in Michigan or traveling for work in cities across the world. Kudos, Geralds!!

In Response... – I think you will find all business owners who have invested their life and resources to perform services or sell products, are extremely interested in feedback. Honest criticism is very valuable and is received well by management. Although we aspire to be perfect...sometimes we are not. Going downhill – I had been going here for many (7+) years...until my last few experiences. The last time I went I was encouraged to try a new stylist, since the girl that I usually see was booked. I took their advice. It took over 40 min to dry my hair and style with a round brush...and that is because the stylist had 2 assistants take turns "practicing" on me.
