Since we opened in 1950, our neighborhood has been full of hustle and bustle (the New York Stock Exchange is two blocks over, after all). And while we love the energy, we've made it our mission to provide our guests with a space they can relax in. When you're here, you'll find homestyle cooking in huge portions. Classic NY breakfast place! A must for a hearty portion of many delicious menu choices!

We are visiting NY and stopped in for lunch. The food was great. Got the mushroom swiss burger and sweet potato fries. Nice potion size. The staff was amazing. Very friendly and clean establishment.

Took a break here and ate lunch on Sept 11th. I've eaten here several times(burger and fries) was very reasonable! Will definitely come back on future trips.

When we started back in 1950, we wanted to create a community where everyone felt welcomed to stop in and enjoy a good meal. It's concerning that we didn't give off that impression through your interactions with us, Thomas -- what you describe couldn't be further from our intent. We're sure the hostess chose people based on what seating was available -- if there was a table for two that just opened up, a party of two would have been seated first. Rest assured that this is something we will follow up with our team about.
Two times I have eaten here when coming to NYC and have enjoyed the food and service so much that it will now be a "go to" place when in town! I recommend it to all my friends visiting NYC as well!
