It was OK on the chili ,pork tenderloin was great...price was good
Ran across this yesterday on Triple D. Grew up in Des Moines and loved The Chili King. Spent years trying to master his Chili and loose burger recipe. Am close but that's as far as I can get. Thanks for the memories!
We drove from Coralville Iowa just to have lunch here. Food was fair, service OK. Most of our food came quickly, including fries and sandwiches, except mine. I had to get up and ask the waitress to bring me my coney dog, which she forgot to do. She got right on it, but then she and the rest of the staff went outside to smoke. I don't plan to return.
If they cleaned their flat top, exhaust fans, or just cleaned at all it may make a 3 star. Not sure how they pass health inspections.
