Dr. Smith was the plastic surgeon on call the night our 3.5yr old daughter needed stiches on her chin. He was slow in coming to the emergency room and when he arrived he came in yelling at us and the other doctors. He was literally scraming at us right in front of our child. When he went to give her the stiches in her chin he was dismissive of us and yelled at our daughter to stay still. After he was done he barely spoke to us and would have run out of the room if the ER doctor had not insisted that he review the instruction... read more

Ugh Dr. Smith. Hmm where do I begin? From my visits to his office, He's always late, hes rescheduled my appts several several times, Hes rude, and HE NEVER WEARS GLOVES FOR MY THUMB LACERATION.. Anyways, his BK office is dusty and Unprepared and very unorganized! The staff is not so bad but some don't even know the medical field, its quite obvious! And he always does a quick fast follow up. I mean 1 time he walked in said oh looks good come back in 1 month for follow up. I was totally in shock after waiting forever for his l... read more

I have had good experiences everytime ive seen Dr Smith. Ive seen him a few times over the past yrs, all due to rugby injuries and he knew exactly how to treat me... no unecessary back n forth visits, every visit had a purpose and I feel that my recovery was efficient bc of how he chose to treat me...I highly recommend, especially for sports-related injuries.

My 2yr old daughter and I were hit by an exploding window in the tornado causing two large, deep cuts in her arm. I opted to wait for the plastic surgeon in hopes of smaller scars. After 3.5hrs this guy shows up. He didn't introduce himself or ask any questions. He immediately told my wife to leave because she was creating "nervous energy". Photocopying an insurance card was his first priority. Then, without warning, he began to hastily stab my daughters wounds with a needle. The whole experience was rushed, semi-rude and sh... read more

I had @ unfortunate incidents with Dr. Smith & his office. The 1st time i went was bcz my dr at methodist recommended him for breast reduction. He assured me that it will be done, after all the photos and paperworks were submitted to my insurance for approval i was denied. Later on, my son broke his hand took him to methodist and dr smith was the surgeon on call. He put him in a cast and just like said, he was gone. When i went to his office for a followup, i reminded him of my previous case and he told me make an appt to co... read more

Doctor Smith's Park Slope office is just about the most unprofessional operation I have ever seen. The physical space is dingy and dirty. The staff is rude and unaccommodating, and multiple books time slots. When I was in the office, there were at least four patients with a 5pm appt. The receptionist conceded that yes, this leads to routine waits, but gave me an "that's the way it is, I don't care attitude". I ended up leaving the office, and will find my follow up care with another surgeon. I will not step foot into this "d... read more
