I have been a patient of Dr. Maughan's for about 30 years. I first came to him when he took over from Dr. Trice. At that time, Dr. Maughan owned Richmond Family Practice. Now it belongs to a company. But Dr. Maughan goes on the same as before, supplying us with personal attention and kind consideration.
Dr. Maughan is a very caring Doctor an he is interested in your health.

Dr. Maughan is attentive, professional and thorough. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a primary care physician.
Dr. Maughan is though and takes the time to listen. I never feel rushed. The practice is respectful of my time and I am not left in the waiting, or examining room “cooling my heels”. I have been surprised and pleased that he responds himself to queries on the practice’s portal. I have found him to be an up to date and responsive physician.
I have been seeing Dr. Maughan and Richmond Family Practice for 30+ years. The only issue I have every had is that it can be difficult to get through by phone at times. George Maughan and his nurse Jackie seem to really care about their patients and almost always take whatever time is necessary to talk with them. Despite that, particularly in the past year, I have noticed the wait time in both the waiting room and the exam room is extremely short.
I've known Dr. Maughan for man years because he is my mother's primary care physician. He is now my primary care physician and I'm very please with our interaction since my first appointment with him a week ago. He is a very caring and competent doctor.
Dr. Maughan is a great listener. His instructions are easy to understand. He is thorough. Great physician!
