Eight years later and I'm still in excruciating pain that interferes with my sleep. I had a C6 discectomy with cadaver bone. The scar doesn't look too terrible, though. I'm currently seeking treatment from a pain specialist in an attempt to control the pain which is now down to a 6 to 7 on a 1-10 pain scale.
