I have had nothing but headaches dealing with Gentiva. They are money focused vs patient care....every time the nurse would always say "well it's not in the budget or corporate probably will deny it" Originally I thought Hospice was never supposed to be talking about costs with a patient. They want to show you to the "door" quicker because after so many weeks the price per day they make goes down. They don't make as much off of you as when you first sign up as time goes on so your quality of care goes down. One of the employ... read more
Gentiva has been my husband 's hospice provider for the last year and a half while he has been in late stage Alzheimer's. They recently were my saviors when I was told m husband had to move from his memory care facility of over 4 years because of issues with " combativeness".... to " skilled nursing " ( according to old facility) Gentiva immediately helped me find a memory care facility that actually meets his needs. . Sandy comes to Skyviewsprings and does crafts with our Residents, they love her . She show them kindness and compassion and does a great job. Thank you for all you do! Gentiva has a real jewel in Sandy !!
During the time my mom was on hospice the nurses were amazing with her especially Nevin, Chaplin Stephen and special social worker Faith Shifflet. Faith was really there for my family during and after my mother’s passing. The love and care she showed towards us was amazing and greatly appreciated.
Everyone was loving and caring to my grandma. The nurses were very good to her and took the time to get to really know her. The social worker Faith Shifflett was amazing the whole time during this process and very hard time for my family. You could just see the love she had for my grandma. She would spend time with grandma and talk to her and the family to really get to know grandma. She would go out of her way not only for my grandma but for us as well.
