I started going to Genesis New Beginnings in July 2025 and when I started going to Genesis I felt like I was at home and belonged there. When I first walked in the door of GNB I recently lost custody of my kids to CPS 3 days after I had my youngest due to my spouses addiction. When I got to GNB I had 8 months clean and my youngest was 2 days shy of being a month old. The therapist I was given Invalidated my feelings multiple times and gaslit me when I tried to set boundaries. I ended up having a manic episode and felt really overwhelmed. The therapist wasn’t held accountable and I was kicked out for my episode. The owner of this facility is a codependent with boundary issues. She felt superior to me and tried to catch me in acts of Misbehavior(even though I wasn’t doing what she assumed). She assumed the worst, then felt In a position to tell me what to do. This place has helped tremendously in my recovery keeping me honest. Because of them my rent is paid 4 months at sober living. They are professional, understanding and motivated to be of service. This place rocks.
