The culture at Genesis East is the worst I've ever seen in a hospital facility. With the exception of the checkout person and the PA, every employee I had contact with yesterday, obviously hated their job. From the x-ray tech to the triage nurse even to the young woman who handed me a cup for a specimen, the entire department was angry. Genesis management has a giant problem with the culture they've created. I use the University of Iowa Healthcare facilities exclusively for my Healthcare. Now I know why.
Would just like to give a huge shout out do the nurses on 5th floor surgical Ward. especially Enoch, Jake and Claire. And everybody at the desk. My wife was well taken care of and we deeply appreciate it. So blessings to all of you and much love.
I have never been more appalled in my life at an emergency room I brought my 30 year old daughter in for a dental infection that was scary but livable, even though many people were there before her she was seen right away. Meanwhile a small child screamed in pain from a severe ear infection for the entire hour and a half we were there. Best experience I’ve had at a hospital. Everyone was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and communicative. Came here with a friend who needed gallbladder surgery and she was treated with urgency and care. Had been at unity point a few nights before and genesis has been FAR better. So thankful for the staff here.
