Generations is less than what i expected from a secondhand store I tried to donate clothes at there back gate and was told rudefully "that they do not accept anything".Also some items were priced a couple dollars less than regular store prices.
Decent thrift store in South Hayward The old sign that towers over Generation's Thrift Store claims it is "Hayward's most unusual thrift store." However, I was sorely disappointed the first time I went there. There's nothing unusual about it. They carry all the standard thrift-store fare, from used clothing (lots of it), various tchotchkes, kitchen supplies, obsolete electronics, a very small selection of furniture, old toys, books, shoes, etc. They do have a lot of old vinyl records, so that might be worth a browse. Bargains Me and my two girls have been going here to the thrift store for nearly 8 years. In the beginning we would find designer dresses and accessories that were priced below $10.00. The place is sort of messy because a lot of people come here to shop. They not only have old clothes, but they have new ones as well. Most of the things that they carry in are new and they carry in items daily for new things. There's very limi... read more
Not the same anymore... This store is a little too expensive for a Thriftstore. For donated stuff, they charge too much. Thriftown is the best...and they always have sales going on, where you can say you got your money's worth. I used to love shopping at Generation...but like I said...they've gotten too expensive for me.
