RecommendedTheir products are consistent...a little price-y, but the Java Gel in particular goes a long way. It makes me look like a master refinisher when I use it.

I used General Finishes Java Gel Stain on my bathroom vanity and on my kitchen cabinets. It's a beautiful color! My cabinets look excellent and I get many compliments. So much cheaper to do them your self than to buy all new cabinets. I highly recommend this product!
I first learned about the gel stain in particular on facebook. I tried it on a dresser and totally loved it. I then wanted to pick pieces to use it on. It went on so smooth and was very durable. It's beauty was amazing.
I use General Finishes on every stain job and urethanes too. Beautiful finish, every time! Easy to use. No dripping, no stinky odor to it. Easy to control the amount you want. Make the grain show through or make it look like one solid color. And best of all (at least for me) I can match any wood by mixing (ike a mad scientist) stains together..they think I am a genius when I do this.
