We are local and family owned. Our family has been in the business in Austin since 1954. We have been at our present location since 1973, we are one of the last original stores in the shopping center. We have 5 main employees: Gene(dad), Donna(mom), Kyle(son), Blake(grandson) and Rene. We even joke around and say that we adopted Rene. Rene is our lab tech, he cuts and measures the work. We do majority of the jobs in house. Stopped by Gene Rogers during a recent business trip to Austin -- The store has an unbelievable number of frame selections and customer service that is hard to beat! I ordered new glasses and as promised, they were shipped to me within a week of my visit. Can't even find that kind of service with my local opticians! As an added bonus, my lenses are guaranteed against scratching for 2 years!
