RecommendedI must share my story from yesterday about the wonderful people at Geist Station Animal Hospital. My 12 year old Rescue Old English Sheepdog, Sadie, does not like to be brushed or have her hair cut, so the mats and her coat were out of control. I took her for a first-time visit to GSAH. Excellent caring staff. Pets treated with gentle loving care.
We just went through a health scare with out 10 year old standard poodle Emma, which included emergency surgery. The people at Geist Animal Hospital were great. They had me use Medici as a way to keep updated on information and I can highly recommend it. Thanks to Dr. Aaron Smiley and the great staff! The hard part is keeping her calm so she can heal. She just wants to play all the time! We now have a new vet!!!
Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our beloved cat, Gracie, and we chose to have them come to our house. This was our first experience with Geist Station Animal Hospital and it couldn’t have been any better, unless, of course, it didn’t have to happen. Dr. Hostetler and her assistant were beyond loving and caring and made this heartbreaking experience a peaceful and comforting goodbye for Gracie and for us. If we had another pet we would not hesitate to put its health in their care.

The staff is very friendly and compassionate. I brought my two cats there - one was very nervous. Dr’s Smiley and Hostetler took the time and extra care not to frighten the cat more than she already was. They were also able to provide a solution to her excessive grooming problems and educated me on cat behavior. My American Bulldog Missy suddenly couldn’t walk, and was in a lot of pain today. She’s too big for me to carry, so I had no way to lift her into my car! I called Geist Station Animal Hospital, and Dr. Smiley was at my door in no time at all!! This guy makes house calls, and even allows us to text message him for consults and questions!!
We took our brand new puppy, Charlie here for his first visit. The entire experience was wonderful. We got to meet both Dr. Webster and Dr. Smiley and loved them both. Dr. Smiley let my 6 year old help him give Charlie his vaccination and flea & tick prevention. It is very obvious how much Dr. Smiley cares for his patients. My questions were answered thoroughly and he took his time during our appointment. Charlie was in a lot of pain from his shot later that day, so Dr. Smiley dropped off pain meds for him.
