Had a laptop malfunction earlier last week, right in time for class work/finals (how convenient!). I ended up having to buy a new laptop, but brought my old one in to Geek Squad to try and salvage class notes and files. Anthony Perez was an all-star. Kept calm the entire time, tried to troubleshoot everything he thought might work, and we ended up solving the issue. Highly recommend going to him for any needs.
My experience with Geek Squad was not very positive. The appointment was not honored, and there was no advance communication to prevent unnecessary waiting. The service provided was very basic and did not justify the inconvenience. I would not recommend using them unless you get prior confirmation on the services needed prior to heading there.
Called the previous day. Made an appointment When I arrived waited 15 mins after my appointment time to tell me they couldn’t do anything… waste of my lunch break.. terrible
