So horrible experience! I helped a friend to get a car loan in time for COVID and 3 family members died within month. GECU is so inconsiderate at this time of COVID. Threatens us with letters because we are delinquent. Don't allowed us anymore to deposit for we didn't pay the loan. Biggest regrets of my life. I called customer service not to worry. This review is for the Edgemere GECU branch. I have been a member of GECU for years now and have had several loans with them and currently have several deposit accounts. I have never had an issue till now and I believe it was either with ************ at the edgemere branch who I spoke with. Stay away from them, far away!!! Worst experience ever. I curse the day that had to take a loan from them. Used to have two car loans with them but had to return one of the cars. Absolutely no way to work out anything with them. They are super fast on charging you fees but will never ever help you out to even setup the online account with them. Run! This bank will eat you alive with the reduculous fees that they cause! Let me give you an example. Say you fall short a couple of dollars , they will charge you a $30 fee, if it's international and they charge an international fee, they will also charge you a $30 fee on the fee THEY charge you automatically. This bank does not value its members, I have been with GECU for 8 years and they don't care to help out when you really need it. Won't be coming back to this bank after I collect my check tomorrow morning.
Theyblove to take your money. You're given the run-around when a transaction ocuurs which was not authorized. You're expected to know details as an employee. Edna from the Main Office was not helpful at all with an employee missed document. Since the document was missed, account holders must pay for that mistake. Not feeling the trust with this Bank.
