I had to cancel my card a week ago, and GECU barely shipped my card. I called multiple times in the past week, and someone spoke to me and let me know it would be expedited Wednesday. I had received no tracking information, and the employees had no idea when it would come in. Now, if I miss the package by a few minutes running errands, I will get my card sent back. GECU Location at ************************************** ** Today Nov 1st 2023, I went to cash and insurance check to pay for a transmission repair on my **** VW Atlas. Previously I had spoken to the Branch manager to understand what where the requirement to cash a check that had GECU and my name under it. They did not allow me to go inside their location on Mesa and Osborne when I arrived at 5:03 PM indicating that they closed at 5 PM. I indicated that I had to leave early from my work to get there and I was coming from *** ******. The construction on I-10 did not allow me to get earlier. They mentioned that it didn't matter as all the tellers were already closed, even though there were still customers inside. We clarified with Mr. ******** our drive up units are available to him after hours as well as offer Las Cruces GECU ATM transaction alternatives. Do not get a car loan with them. They will issue repo at 50 days late. Then they will ask for ridiculous terms to cancel repo. My car loan with my ex wife was with GECU. It started out great ***** ** ********** **** ** **** ***** *** **** *** *** *** **** ** ***** *** ********The car dealership and GECU had a disagreement for over a month plus where GECU blamed us for not paying the loan when the car was already sold. The dealership sent the check multiple times but GECU denied the check multiple times pass the 30 day mark. This as you can imagine hit my credit score ******** ** ** ******. Atm made a 1000 dollar mistake on deposit. So a few months later on pay day with out notice they withdrew 1000$ and could not pay my bills. They made no payment options available toe and for 6 weeks did not have money for my bills because of your atm mistake. Management gave me a coulle 10$ gift cards for inconvenience. How do i pay bills with $20 of steak house gift cards. They should not be able to strong arm customers because of thier mistakes.

They charge you $5 per bank statement. If you need a year's worth of bank statements, that can easily amount to $60. All because they will only give you access to one year of bank statements online. It's ridiculous to charge your customers $5 per statement. Make the information available online for at least the last 5 years. Those are our records. We shouldn't be charged for banking with you. Again, that is our private information. It doesn't cost your teller $5 in paper to print one statement. I'll be banking elsewhere from... read more

I would NOT recommend getting an auto loan from gecu! They have tried to charge me several times because they can't find my insurance policy.

This bank is the worst. Their not helpful in person nor online. All this bank dies is take and take from you. People be careful
