Takes time with patients. Answers questions well. Not rushed. Analytical in a good way. Seems to be accurate.
Dr. Melmed is very professional and treats his patients with kindness and respect. He really listens to your concerns. So glad I found him.
I as not told why the Vitamin B12 was so high (8/20/21) The levels are still high but not >4.000pg/ml. I am curious and concerned why this is so (3,951). I was referred to Dr. Melmud. The standard range is 232-1,245. It was obvious to me that Dr. Melmud was not concerned and I trust his knowledge.
After a year-long treatment of rectal cancer started in 2021, under the care of Dr Gavin Melmed (oncology), in collaboration with Dr Paul DeRose (radiation therapy) and Dr Danielle Giesler (colorectal surgery), I am clean of cancer. I have received treatment for several years with Dr Melmed and felt my care was very good with information shared so I was informed about the treatment.
Dr. Melmed is an absolutely wonderful doctor. He is not only extremely knowledgeable, he is also very caring and compassionate. He takes the time to really listen and understand what is going on with my family. His staff reflects his caring, helpful attitude as well. We can always count on Dr. Melmed and his staff to be there for us when we need them.
Dr. Melmed is an amazing doctor! He was highly recommended to me by my surgeon. He genuinely cares and listens to questions and concerns. I absolutely recommend him to anyone facing a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Dr Melmed is busy BUT he always makes me feel like a priority. He explains things well. Looks matters up on the internet on-the-spot if he doesn't know the exact answer and is personable. I feel like I'm in capable hands with him.
I have always appreciated that Dr Melmed goes the extra step that might be needed when something isn’t quite right. He is also willing to refer patients to someone else when he’s not sure that he will have the right answers for his patients! He is a true professional & never dismissive, even when the path isn’t clear!
