Delicious food— “familiar” enough to be comforting and accessible but with plenty of exciting new flavors and foods to try. Everything was tasty, and the chicken hearts are a must try— seriously. So glad you’re in Blacksburg!

My wife and I ate here on Friday 16Mar2018. I saw all these great reviews and thought it would be good. It was not! I will say that the service was excellent. My wife got the 5 oz steak and it was tough to eat and lots of gristle. No it was not sent back because it should never have to go back. Food should be prepared right the first time and the cook should have looked at that cut and tossed it. I got Moqueca and it did taste fine, but for $14 that is about 5 dollars way too much. Dinner was really good! Steak was a bit over cooked (medium came out well done), service a bit slow, but overall more than worth it for the banana (plantain) ice cream and really delicious food.
So SOOOO good. I have lived in Blacksburg for nearly a year now and have largely been disappointed with the food options in the city. Stumbled across this place, though, and oh my gosh. Incredible. The steaks were amazing, the desserts were incredible, the steak and bacon kabob appetizer was sinful. Absolutely the best place I’ve found in Blacksburg.
