DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT believe the 5 star reviews on this website, they are simply fictitiously entered by Gathright employees to misrepresent their true ratings. Just read through four or five of the 5 star ratings and they all start to sound the same. Like many, many others; they tried to extort more money from me when they picked up my stuff by saying that I was over the 300cf limit. They wanted another 365 dollars. I usually don't write reviews unless it is amazing or terrible, this is the last one. The worst experience from 2 days before the moving day (they somehow booked me a few days later which I would be already on the plane), showed up 7 hrs later, charged me double, delivered 11pm, left 3 furnitures unassembled. Still trying to get some money back, it has been 5 months. No wonder why they only take checks and cash only. This is a nighitmare.

There is no option for a negative star. They were awful movers, over 60% of our items were damaged. I was in tears by the time they were done unpacking as every item was some how damaged or scratched. I was surprised when they unloaded an item and it was NOT damaged. We paid for a full pack and my 3yo could have done a better job! I'm furious and pissed and would NEVER recommend them.

Thumbs down negative stars all of that! Do not use this company if you VALUE any of your items/ furniture now where to begin. When they moved our stuff out of the first apartment the mover rolled our big leather chair out the door and hit the wall in doing so instead of lifting it. It’s a nightmare to track the whereabouts! Our stuff sat in the original state we moved from for three weeks after they picked it up from the apartment before the loaded it on a truck to drive to the destination. I do not even want to give them one star! unprofessional, late delivery. Drivers are not worth the ground I walk on. It will be the lowest quote you get for a moving company, but wait, they'll try and force you to do a shuttle service which will be a heck of a lot more. they'll charge you for every step they have to take. I am still struggling to work with Gathright who failed to complete a move and now seems to be trying to ignore me. A short version of the series of problems is that after a troubled pick-up, they refused to set even a three day window for a delivery until the day before. They failed even to do that when I was not given a delivery window at all but got a call at lunch one day and told they would deliver "tonight" with no more specific information. The movers did their job quickly and professionally always with a great attitude, everything went smoothly all the time. All my items arrived without any damage, most of my furniture is pretty expensive but fortunately they did a great job protecting it with good pad wraping, these guys make the difference in the moving business.

John my moving specialist treated me nice and kind, his work was efficient and responded to all of my silly questions. I like that he was pretty attentive to my demands. I was impressed with the packing service, they disassembled and reassembled everything. The movers had always a great attitude and were always willing to help me and my family. I’m thankful to these guys who made my life easier.

Mark my sales rep was incredible with the reservation process and planning all the details. Movers were efficient and friendly and more than helpful, I felt pretty comfortable leaving my stuff in these guys’ hands. Nothing was broken and they finished in pretty short time. I would recommend them without a doubt.
