I have had a prescription for pantoprazole or omeprazole for nearly 30 years because of my acid reflux. I used to have an indefinite prescription for it, but unfortunately Gastroenerology Associates always want me to come in once a year in order to refill my prescription, literally just to tell them, "Yep, nothing has changed." Basically they want to milk my insurance for an office visit. Had an endoscopy and colonoscopy over 3 weeks ago. Awoke with a substantial cut on my bottom lip and a smaller cut on my upper lip from the endoscopy that persisted for 2 weeks. I have yet to hear any results from either procedure. I had a biopsy still waiting to hear something despite calling twice. Not real impressed, not very professional. Nurses were nice enough to me, didn't care to talk smack about each other, while waiting an extended amount of time for my procedures.
Avoid at all costs! Although that might not be a problem since the doctor is leaving town any way. As a cancer survivor it is very important that I get regular check ups. So I scheduled an appointment so I could get my colonoscopy. THE DAY BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT THEY TELL ME THE DOCTOR IS LEAVING BEFORE HE CAN MEET WITH ME. They have know about the doctors departure for quite sometime yet they didn’t think us was important enough to tell me when I scheduled the appointment but only the day before. Absolutely unbelievable.
