Dr. Truss did an endoscopy on me on September 10th. It was totally not necessary and my esophagus continues to hurt me now!

My experiences with Southeast Gastro and its predecessor have beem great. Dr. Shaffer is an excellent physician who helped me through a very uncertain time a few years ago. I was losing weight for no reason. I thought my throat cancer might be coming back or some other cancer as unexplained weight loss is a huge red flag. Dr. Shaffer checked me out with a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. When both these procedures found nothing wrong, Dr. Shaffer ordered a Pet Scan for me. No cancer was found. Wonderful Practice! The Doctors care about their patients and the team like approach of the staff is awesome
There was a mixup with my appointment and when I went in they squeezed me in and I got in and out in 30 mins. Fastest doctors appointment I’ve ever had. Super nice staff.
I just want to give a big shout out to Dr. Barranco and the staff at Southeast Gastro for making me as comfortable as I could be before my Colonoscopy, also two days later the Dr's office called me to check on how everything was going. I've had many surgeries and that's the first time I have ever had a doctor's office call me after a procedure to check on their patient. I highly recommend Southeast Gastro and Dr. Barranco.
This is the only place I'll go and take my son until they retire. They saved my son's life. He had an appointment for a procedure and it decided to snow and of course ice over. The morning of the procedure they allowed me to get there at my time especially since the symptoms had got worse. Love Love Love thus group
