We have eaten here several times. The food is usually consistent, flavorful and great price. Last night was a different story. First the waiter was fantastic. He did his best to accommodate us. Secondly $16.00 for 8oz of Calamari is crazy. Then there was the issue with my wife's oil soaked Fish and Chips. I get it she ordered the Traditional batter and it can be a tad oily. We had an amazing experience at the Gas Lamp Grille. We started with nachos which were perfect, nicely layered and not soggy. The lobster mac and cheese had a nice amount of lobster which I didn't expect. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and fries and he couldn't stop raving how delicious the pork was. Alex was out bartender/server and not only was he knowledgeable about the New port area but suggested the house brew beer which was fantastic.
