He listens, takes his time, and answers any questions. I’ve been seeing him for 6 years, my son for 6 years, and my husband and 2 other children for the past year. His staff is knowledgeable and honest. As the granddaughter of an OD I highly recommend him!!!
Dr. Strickland is very good at working with me and my prescription. Having such bad eyes, getting the progressives just right is a challenge. He listens and is patient when figuring out my current prescription. The office in Ventura also has the machines that really show the health of the eyes - worth every penny. Dr. Strickland does a great job.
He changed the prescription for my contact lenses. My former prescription had been designed so that I could read fine print a little better by having one lens weaker. Without asking me if this was what I would like, he decided to change it without telling me. He also threatened to "put me into daily contacts" if I didn't comply with the guidelines of soft contact lens wearing. After wearing contact lenses for over 50 years without a problem I didn't like his overbearing attitude.
