Pressure for unnecessary treatment I consulted the dentist to put on new crowns. Then mysteriously he made me lie flat on my back, put my head back in an awkward position and asked me to open and close my jaw. He then declared that when closing my jaw one of my teeth came into contact before the rest of my teeth. The dentist then declared that I suffered from TMJ.
