Dr Scavelli is a super-talented surgeon and vet, and he hires the top docs to work with him at GSVS. If your companion animal has a serious health concern, this is the place to go. I've been going to him since 1999 with any serious health issues that my pets have had, and I've always experienced the best possible care. My cocker spaniel was diagnosed with Stage 3 mast cell cancer, and after surgery, chemo and radiation, he is 4 years in remission. I drive from Philadelphia - this place blows away Penn any day. I brought my 6 month old cat here yesterday with a broken hip. He needed FHO surgery... I hadn't really gotten too much info on the surgery itself or how it could've happened and was riddled with worry and guilt thinking my cat had fallen from somewhere terribly high and I didn't know.... the Dr we saw yesterday (whose name escapes me) very tall guy, was so helpful and confident in the success of the surgery and a full recovery... I left feeling so much better than I had walking in... really wonderful experience!
Many of us who are referred there go with a beloved pet who is in trouble. I was treated by everyone as though my Polo and I mattered. My questions were answered fully and I was never made to feel inferior in any way. After many questions and a few phone calls i decided on radiation treatments for my dogs nasal cancer. He did great and I am so glad I made that decision. Thanks!
