Glorified pill mill. Dr Patel refused to order standard tests before beginning a patient on new medication — basic bloodwork (ie, below the standard of care) under the reasoning that he’d have to pick up the phone and advise a patient to see another provider if a test shows abnormal results. In other words, Dr. Patel does not want to spend 20 seconds of his time to look at basic testing results that anyone with an MD would be able to interpret to establish a baseline before beginning a patient on new medication. This is a great group of doctors who care about their patients. I was with them for many years then I moved away for 5 years. As soon as I got back to NJ they were the 1st appointment I made. 5 years later and the doctor remembered me. That doesn’t happen in most places but they always took their time with me , explained everything, & always did what was best to help me with my chronic pain.
