Suburban Lawn & Garden was started by Bill Stueck in the early 1950's as a lawn mowing business while he was in grade school. In the fifty plus years since, Suburban has grown into a multi-faceted retail, wholesale and service organization dedicated to the principles of growing superior products, providing excellent service and always delivering great value. SL&G now operates three garden centers/nurseries

I love Suburban and have actually spent several thousand dollars there in the past year, but just so disappointed with the way I was treated today I don’t think I can ever go back. 😢 After we had agreed to a price on a sale planter which was marked illegibly - a clerk steps in and says it should be twice that and, everyone just went along with him! I had to get a similar pot which I didn’t like as much, but it was about the same size and price as they had originally priced the one I really wanted. I don’t know why this guy ... read more

It’s the shittiest place in the whole Kansas City Area, I’d 10 times go to what use to be Loma Vista! We bought mulch and this stupid worker only filled his crate half and we didn’t pay for that. We went over to get our fucking money back. This a disgrace honestly, I would not contract them for anything cause they do shitty work
Got to admit I work at Suburban...but I also shop there. I get so excited when trucks arrive anxious to see what treasures they hold. I am encouraged by the responces I get from people when I call them to let them know the plant they've been hoping to find has come in. I can tell they never REALLY expected someone to call them with that information! I am very happy with the selection and quality of plants at Suburban. My garden can attest to that.
