What an awful experience. I understand that Gander Mountain in Novi is closing and I'm sorry for that. With that being said I went in to clear up an item that I was overcharged on. I also get the "all sales are final" aspect. After waiting 15 minutes for a manager "Ryan" came up simply to tell me tough. No sorry for the mistake or here is how you can resolve this. We spent $1100 in this store. We had a good purchasing experience however the firearm safe we purchased to protect children from accessing them did not work when we got it home. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE with children in the home. We wanted to exchange only for one that worked, NOT return for a refund. We were told no, all sales final. They would still have the sale, just on a different item. Apparently protecting kids and their safety is not a priority over making money. Very unsatisfied and disgusted with their ethics.
I want to give kudos to Chuck D, back in firearms. We had purchased a scope back in Dec had it mounted and bore sighted. Finally went to target shoot and could not get it in the bullseye. We noticed the scope was not centered correctly. We went back to the Novi store Chuck looked at it and said it was way off, he bore sighted it and we promptly went to the range and with two adjustments we were dead center. Thank you Chuck, great customer service we will definitely be back to see you! Sharon
My Mom and I waited at the gun counter for over 45 minutes to be helped because they were so busy. That was not the issue. The issue was, once our turn came we literally stayed there 5 minutes because the salesperson was an asshole. We went to the Taylor, Mi store which is smaller and not as nice (as far as store layout)however, our salesperson was fabulous. We walked out of the Taylor store happy and with $500.00 less.
Store has everything you will need and then some. I have purchased several firearms from and always had a good experience. My only issue is I wish they carried bigger sizes in clothes.
Learned a lot about Michigan gun laws. Some of the laws makes you wonder. Saw some decent used and new guns with pretty good prices. Ammo as well. Got to go back and look better.
