A passionIn the late 1920s Edward Gallrein Sr. started a dairy farm business in Jefferson County Ky. He started with only about 17 head and over many years it grew to over 400. His son William Gallrein Sr. continued the family tradition of dairy farming and in 1972 purchased a farm in Shelby County. The dairy business had grown to the point of milking cows around the clock! First time to visit. The vegetables and fruit I bought looks so good. After shopping we had lunch. I loved the fried bologna sandwich and a big chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Sweet tea was perfect. All the staff members were nice especially one of the ladies at the deli. She made us feel welcomed. I should have gotten her name. We will be back next Saturday.
Best peaches and cream corn ever
In the fall there’s everything from a tractor ride to a pumpkin patch, kid’s obstacle course, a hay mountain to climb, kids carnival style games and activities, and a haunted house. In the off season it’s great to swing by for fresh corn, peaches, tons of veggies or a trip to the little petting zoo.
