A passionIn the late 1920s Edward Gallrein Sr. started a dairy farm business in Jefferson County Ky. He started with only about 17 head and over many years it grew to over 400. His son William Gallrein Sr. continued the family tradition of dairy farming and in 1972 purchased a farm in Shelby County. The dairy business had grown to the point of milking cows around the clock! Had a great time with family. Everyone was really kind.
So we love it out here. We came last weekend and had a blast. I only give two starts because we bought 7 pumpkins 1 week ago today and we have had to throw 4 of them away from rotting. These were not carved. After buying so many and tons of flowers, it’s disappointing that these didn’t last longer than 5 days.
Oh the apple cider and donuts were awesome. Kids enjoyed picking their own pumpkins in the field. — with Michael Egan.
