My daughter (now 18) has been a patient at this practice since the age of 3. She has been twice a year every year for cleanings, had only one small cavity requiring treatment, received preventive treatments including sealants and we have never had a complaint. The staff is caring, kind and friendly, Dr. Plauka has always been extremely conscientious and her ability to make all treatments as stress free as possible for my daughter and myself. First off, the hygenist was excellent with my 3 year old on his first appoint. I was more upset with the office staff who provided me incorrect information about taking my insurance. I clearly remember asking if they took my insurance, and the receptionist on the phone said "yes". Not at any point in the 20 minutes I waited for my son to be seen, did any one pull me aside to let me know they were not included in my insurances network. I have a 3 yr old son with Down Syndrome that sees Dr Plauka. She is an excellent dentist, and specializes with kids with special needs. Highly recommended.

Gail Plauka may be a skilled dentist, but her business practices are downright criminal! She doesn't take insurance, so you have to pay out of pocket up front and hope to get reimbursed. And when I tried to get my kids' records to move to another dentist, they tried to charge me $15 apiece for my kids' x-rays! We already paid for those x-rays when we took them. Also, they require that all kids get laughing gas for fillings, regardless of the child's temperment. This ISN'T covered by insurance either. Plauka may be good, but ... read more

My son started going to Dr. Paluka's office when he was three. The dentist made his first experience wonderful. They took the time to explain what everything was and what to expect in terms that he understands. My son actually looks forward to his visits. The staff and hygenist are always wonderful. They definitely know how to cater to children.

I've been taking both my children to Dr. Plauka now for over 4 years and the office is tremendous. Having a son with Autism and him not letting most people near his mouth Dr. Plauka and the hygienists do a remarkable job with both my son and daughter. I would and have reccomended this office a number of times and will continue to do so. We've even moved out of town to No. VA and we come down for our dental visits because of how far they've brought our special needs child. I love this dentist. They are hands down the BEST for children. Its the most relaxed environment for chilidren and they are wonderful dealing with them. I would never go anywhere else with my child.

Dr. Plauka came very highly recommended for her care in dealing with kids. My 17-year old daughter, who has Down Syndrome, has been coming to her office since she was 6 years old and every appointment has gone well. Even the toughest days went extremely well. WIth a great staff, the cleanliness of the facility, and the overall experience, I would greatly recommend Dr. Plauka. As a mother of two, I'd say, "she's the best!"

I have two sons that have been seeing Dr. Plauka for pretty much their whole life. My oldest was two years old when he started with her and now at the age of 17 still going to see her. I have never seeing neither one of my kids nervous or not wanting to see the dentist. She is an awesome doctor and the kids love her and the staff. Did I mention that everything is made thinking on kids? You have to see this place and you will also be writing a review like me. Sincerely, Carlos Ortiz
